You may be a weight loss surgery candidate if you:
- meet the National Institute of Health criteria
- have no endocrine cause of obesity
- are considered an acceptable operative risk
- understand surgery and the risks
- are absent of drug or alcohol problems
- have no uncontrolled psychological conditions
- gain a consensus after bariatric team evaluation: (psychologist, internist, dietitian)
- are dedicated to life-style change and follow-up
